The blog launched with one post, and that post's title was literally
TODO: first post. Meanwhile eight real posts written between June 2023 and
March 2024 sat in the old site's repository, reachable by nobody.
A blog with a TODO on its index reads as abandoned. The writing already existed; it was the only thing missing.
It was a conversion rather than a copy, because none of it fit:
- The old frontmatter called it
description; this app readssummary. - Unquoted dates parse as YAML timestamps, not strings — which still looks like a date on the page, and sorts by weekday name. Every date got quotes.
why-I-love-neovim.mdhad an uppercase letter, which the slug rule rejects. It would have been listed on the index and 404'd when opened.- The Astrovim cheat sheet is almost entirely a table, and GitHub-flavoured markdown was not enabled. Without it the whole post renders as a wall of pipe characters.
- Two posts embedded a live-code sandbox component that does not exist here. The code inside them is preserved as ordinary fenced blocks; the editable sandbox is not.
Everything else survived intact.
